We’re honored to highlight Shakeel Rashed, who has served on the iACT Board of Directors for five years and was recently named Board President. Shakeel brings deep experience as a technologist, entrepreneur, investor, and community leader based in Austin, TX—with over 20 years working at the forefront of emerging technologies from web and mobile to cloud, AI, and data sciences.
In addition to his professional work, Shakeel is actively engaged in civic and nonprofit leadership. He serves on multiple boards including CASA of Travis County and the Council on American–Islamic Relations (CAIR TX), demonstrating a long-standing commitment to justice, inclusion, and service.
As Board President, Shakeel brings a visionary perspective grounded in innovation, collaboration, and community impact. His leadership will help guide iACT as we continue our mission to uplift lives, strengthen community, and build bridges of understanding across diverse neighbors. We’re excited for what’s ahead under his stewardship!
