Mrs. Mary Riojas is standing in front of the wall of art her grandchildren have created for her. She lives in her North Austin home covered in memories of her family. Her father, John Trevino, was the first Mexican-American to serve on the city council of Austin. Ms. Mary cared for him and her mother in their old age. She now has a beautiful section of her home dedicated to their memories as well as one of her brothers that passed away. Hands on Housing is incredibly grateful to be working with her so that she can keep her family memories alive in her home.
