During the 2025 Raise the Roof event hosted by Hands on Housing, disaster almost struck. The group of volunteers were planning on using their paint sprayer which would have made painting one of our homeowner’s houses much quicker. However, when the volunteers were connecting their sprayer to the hose, they found that the nozzle was clogged. Luckily, this good Samaritan was working next door and offered to help us. He let us use his equipment to unclog our sprayer meaning that we did not have to delay the painting of our homeowner’s home. This extremely kind man made such a huge impact in the lives of the Austin homeowner as well as the volunteers that were working there with us that day.
