I’ve been living in Austin since 2017, so almost 10 years!
What do you do at iACT?
I am the Communications Coordinator at iACT.
What’s the most challenging thing about the work you do at iACT?
The most challenging thing about working at iACT is feeling the weight of the organization’s mission when things are uncertain or challenging. For example, during the federal funding freeze, my work felt much more heavy in doing my best to help the organization communicate to stakeholders the difficulty of the situatiuon with which we were faced.
What’s the most rewarding thing about the work you do at iACT?
The most rewarding thing about the work I do at iACT is the sense of purpose. Knowing that my work has direct impact on underserved and vulnerable communities in Austin is very rewarding.
Why would you encourage others to support the work of iACT?
I’d encourage others to support iACT because of its critical and timely work in supporting refugees, aiding low income homeowners, and financially empowering young people while broadening our understanding of one another.
