Staff Spotlight: Mondra Wright

At iACT, we have great appreciation for the wonderful staff who make our service work possible! In this Staff Spotlight Mondra Wright tells us a little more about herself.

Mondra Wright, iACT Volunteer Coordinator

Q: Where are you from?

I am proud to say that I am from Daphne, Alabama!

Q: How long have you been in Austin?

I have been in the Austin (Pflugerville) for 1 year & 9 months.

Q: What do you do at iACT?

I am iACT’s Volunteer Coordinator

Q: What is the most challenging thing about the work you do at iACT?

The most challenging aspect of my work is at times keeping a consistent flow of volunteers. There are times when recruitment is AMAZING and then there are times when it is slow. In the slow times, I have to remember that it is just the “nature of the beast”. Nevertheless, this challenge most definitely keeps me on my toes and encourages me to explore various avenues for recruitment.

Q: What is the most rewarding thing about the work you do at iACT?

What a great question! The most rewarding aspect of my work here at iACT is that I have the immense pleasure of witnessing hardworking, dedicated, and compassionate volunteers make such a positive, profound, and powerful impact in the lives of our amazing clients!

Q: Why would you encourage others to support the work of iACT?

I would encourage everyone to support the work that iACT does because we are an extraordinary team of compassionate workers that genuinely love serving our clients. Whether we are serving refugees or low-income homeowners, we put our all into everything that we do and we do it with a heart of compassion and love. I believe that those who join us in this work with receive a reward far greater that what my words are able to describe! Come join us in this extraordinary work!

Thanks so much for sharing your story with us, Mondra!
